Each Student A Child of God

TVLC Preschool & Kindergarten is a community ministry of Tanque Verde Lutheran Church (TVLC).  At TVLC, each student is viewed as a child of God, with uniquely individual developmental needs and abilities.

We provide a creative and loving Christian environment for children ages two to five years old. This is a time to grow in their faith and knowledge of God and Jesus.  Each class attends Chapel once a week in the Sanctuary.  It is a beautiful room with stained glass windows, an altar and often times the organist is practicing as we enter.  The children soon feel the peace.

Our Chapel time is 10-15 minutes long.  We start out reading or acting out the Bible story for the day.  Afterwards we have great discussions about the story and then sing one or two songs.  To end our Chapel, we pray and thank God for all that He gives us.

In the classrooms, we begin our day with prayer and pray at snack time too.  Often, we talk about what Jesus can do when we are sad, mad, scared or angry.  It helps the children always know God and Jesus are there for us.

You and your child do not need to be Lutheran or members of the Church to join us in our preschool or kindergarten program.  We love helping all children know God and Jesus!  Being Christian is a joy and we love helping that joy grow as their faith grows.
