What

The Kid's Club is Tanque Verde Lutheran Church Preschool's Afternoon Enrichment Program. Our program provides a way to extend your child's preschool experience.  It is a structured class with many opportunities for choices.  Your child enjoys lunch together with his/her friends and participates in an afternoon of fun and social development as well as opportunities for cognitive growth, and play.  The program is literature-based and each day a new book is presented to the children.

Who

All children currently enrolled in the Three (Bunnies), Four (Giraffes), and Pre-K (Owls) classes can take advantage of this special afternoon enrichment program.  Children in the morning classes can attend on their school days (directly after class) or come in on non-school days.  Children in our afternoon classes are welcome to attend on their non-school days, or come for an extra hour (11:30-12:30) on their school days.

When

There is a Kid's Club session every day (Mon-Fri) that preschool is in session.  The cost is $12.00 per session.  The time is 11:30-2:30. 

Where

The Kid's Club room is located in the center room of the Education Building, Room #3.  You can bring your child directly to the Kid's Club room at 11:30 if your child is not currently in class.  If your child is in a morning class that day, their teacher will bring him/her directly to the Kid's Club room at the conclusion of the morning session.

Lunch

Your child brings his/her own lunch, which should include a drink.  We are unable to refrigerate or heat up food; pack an ice pack if needed.  Please be sure your child's lunch box is clearly labeled with their NAME.  Remember: We are a NO PEANUT BUTTER AND NUT SCHOOL.  We cannot serve any food at school that has any peanut or nuts included in the food list.  This includes Kid's Club lunches.

How

Space is limited (15 per day) and on a first come first served basis.  To reserve a space for your child in Kid's Club, stop by or call the Preschool/Kindergarten Office, 749-1738.  Reservations can be made for August through December on July 18. In December you will be able to sign up for January through the remainder of the school year.  You can also call for one day at a time.  If there is room, we will sign you up for the dates you want.  You will be billed for the days your child attends Kid's Club.  You must cancel by 7:30 the morning of your reservation, otherwise you will be charged for that day.  A monthly bill will be sent home with your child.  You may include your Kid's Club payment along with your tuition check if you so desire.
