What

The Discovering Dolphins NEW Morning Enrichment Program is Tanque Verde Lutheran Church Preschool's opportunity for all enrolled children to enjoy more time to discover and learn. Your child will have the opportunity to join other children to find out more about our world, God, their friends and neighbors. There will be many opportunities to progress in their cognitive learning in this class.

Who

All children currently enrolled in the Three (Bunnies), Four (Giraffes), and Pre-K (Owls) classes can take advantage of this special morning enrichment program. Children in the afternoon classes can attend on their school days before going to their scheduled class. They can also come in on non-school days. Children in our morning classes can attend any morning they are not in their regular scheduled class. This gives all children ages 3-5 more opportunities for class time experiences.

When

There is a Discovery session every day (Mon-Fri) that preschool is in session. The cost is $12.00 per session. The time is 8:30-11:30.

Where

The Discovery room is located in the newly licensed church Child Care room. This room is south of the Education Building, where your classes now meet. Go up the 3 stairs and the door will open to our new classroom! You can bring your child directly to the Discovery room at 8:30. If your child is in an afternoon class that day, you can bring him/her to the Discovery room and we will take them to their afternoon class at 12:30. (Lunch time requires an extra $4.00)

Lunch

Your child can bring his/her own lunch if they stay until 12:30. Be sure and include a drink. We are unable to refrigerate or heat up food; pack an ice pack if needed. Please be sure your child's lunch box is clearly labeled with their NAME. Remember: We are a NO PEANUT BUTTER AND NUT SCHOOL. We cannot serve any food at school that has any peanut or nuts included in the food list. This includes Discovery Kids lunches.

How

Space is limited (15 per day) and on a first come first served basis. To reserve a space for your child in the Discovery room, stop by or call the Preschool/Kindergarten Office, 749-1738. Reservations can be made for August through December on July 18. In December you will be able to sign up for January through the remainder of the school year. You can also call for one day at a time. If there is room, we will sign you up for the dates you want.  You will be billed for the days your child attends the Discovering Dolphins. You must cancel by 7:30am the day of your reservation, otherwise you will be charged for the day of your reservation. A monthly bill will be sent home with your child. You may include your Discovering Dolphins payment along with your tuition check if you so desire.
